My Trick Training Northamptonshire classes are about far more than teaching fun tricks. They help build confidence, improve focus, strengthen your relationship and provide valuable mental stimulation for dogs of all ages and breeds.
Trick training Northamptonshire – More than just tricks!
Trick training is a fantastic way to keep your dog mentally satisfied, particularly when long walks aren’t practical because of hot weather, injury or health issues. It’s suitable for everyone, from reactive dogs who need confidence building to high-drive working dogs who thrive on learning new skills.
Tricks don’t just have to be entertaining either. Your dog can learn useful everyday skills such as tidying away their toys, closing doors or even fetching a drink from the fridge. Above all, trick training is about having fun together while creating a happier, more confident dog.

FAQ?
Can any dog learn tricks?
Absolutely! Trick training can be adapted to suit dogs of all ages, breeds and abilities. Whether you have a young puppy, an older dog or a high-drive working breed, every dog can enjoy learning new skills at their own pace.
Do I need any previous training experience?
No. Whether you’re completely new to training or have already done classes with your dog, I’ll guide you through everything step by step using positive, reward-based methods.
Will trick training help my dog’s behaviour?
While trick training isn’t a substitute for behaviour modification, it can help build confidence, improve focus and provide valuable mental stimulation. Many owners find that learning together strengthens their relationship and gives their dog a positive outlet for their energy.
Can we work towards Trick Dog titles?
Yes. If you’d like to, I can help you work towards recognised Do More With Your Dog Trick Dog titles. There’s no pressure to do so, though—many people simply come along to enjoy learning something new with their dog.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring plenty of tasty training treats, a flat collar or harness, a non-retractable lead and, if your dog enjoys toys, a favourite reward toy. Most importantly, bring a sense of humour—we’re here to have fun!
Christine’s knowledge, experience and calm manner has helped us and our reactive dog no end. She champions positive teaching methods through games, and explains the ‘why’ in a really clear way. We’re very grateful for having found her and look forward to learning more in the future. I’d highly recommend her 121 sessions and group classes – we wouldn’t be making the progress we are without them!
