Therapy dog services with dogs like Lilly provide comfort, companionship and emotional support to others in settings such as schools, care homes, hospitals, workplaces and community groups. Unlike assistance dogs, they are not trained to support one specific individual, but instead work with their handler to benefit a wide range of people.

Therapy Dog Lilly
Lilly is my oldest English Shepherd and a fully qualified therapy dog. Together, we provide calm, professional therapy dog services designed to support the wellbeing of children, young people and adults. She is gentle, intuitive, and deeply people-focused. If she could choose anywhere to be, it would be quietly by someone’s side.
Unlike high-energy working sessions on the training field, Lilly’s therapy work is calm, steady, and intentional. She is trained to settle, offer quiet companionship, and respond softly to human emotion. She does not overwhelm, jump up, or demand attention. Instead, she waits, observes, and connects.
Lilly works with:
- Children and young people
- Adults experiencing stress or anxiety
- Individuals who benefit from calm, non-judgemental presence
- Educational or community settings
- Small group wellbeing sessions
Spending time with Lilly can help people feel calmer, reduce stress and create space for conversation. For some, simply stroking her and feeling her steady breathing is enough. For others, she becomes a bridge – making communication feel safer and more natural.
Every Visit is Carefully Planned
All therapy visits are carefully planned. A risk assessment is completed prior to sessions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both participants and Lilly. Her welfare is always protected, and sessions are structured to ensure she remains happy, relaxed, and willing in her work.
If you’re interested in arranging a therapy dog visit with Lilly, whether for a school, organisation, community group or individual, please get in touch to discuss how we can support you.
Lilly’s calm temperament and love of people didn’t happen by chance. It was built through careful training, positive experiences and strong foundations from an early age.
